(log in required)
On Monday September 10, Canada Post employees voted for the ability to strike starting Wednesday, September 26.

In anticipation of this, some Receiver General for Canada cheques such as Canada Child Benefit, Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security and the Goods and Services Tax Credit are being delivered earlier than normal to Canadians.  Financial Institutions have been asked to accept these items upon presentment despite the date noted on the item, following the normal deposit process.
