Visit the Abbott Health & Fitness Expo
The Abbott Health & Fitness Expo features more than 180 exhibitors offering Bank of America Chicago Marathon merchandise and the latest in running footwear, apparel, nutrition and technology. Additionally, the Health & Fitness Expo is the home of participant packet pick-up for all marathon participants. Held Friday and Saturday at Chicago's McCormick Place, the two-day Expo is free and open to the public. Please note: Participants must pick up their own participant packet at the Abbott Health & Fitness Expo during regularly scheduled hours. Individuals will not be able to pick up participant packets on behalf of others.

  • Join the discussion with current Marathon World record holder, Paula Radcliffe, and Ashley Graham from Merrill Lynch, on celebrating women's successes. Radcliffe and Graham will discuss balancing marathon training with other life priorities such as successful careers, family, leisure activities and their health.

chicagomarathon.com Information presented by Molex will be available throughout Grant Park on race day. Information Tents will be available to assist participants and spectators with event information, course maps and general event inquiries as well as lost and found items. Information Tents will be located in the following areas:
  • On the east side of Michigan Avenue at 11th Street
  • On the east side of Michigan Avenue at Harrison Street
  • On the east side of Michigan Avenue at Jackson Drive
  • Within the Buckingham Fountain Gear Check facility (participant only Information Tent)
  • North side of Jackson Drive between Columbus Drive and Lake Shore Drive
  • On the northwest corner of Congress Parkway and Columbus Drive
In addition to the six Information tents, Information teams will be positioned throughout Grant Park and on Michigan Avenue on race morning to assist participants and spectators with maps and viewing tips.


Bank of America Chicago Marathon Event Alert System
The color-coded Event Alert System (EAS) will communicate the status of course conditions to participants and spectators leading up to and on race day. The levels range from Low (green) to Moderate (yellow) to High (red) to Extreme (black) based primarily on the weather, as well as other conditions. Please keep an eye out for EAS communications throughout the week and on race day. For more information on the Event Alert System click here.


Create a digital cheer card for your runner
chicagomarathon.com Biofreeze will be providing digital cheer cards on-course to help runners achieve their personal bests. Here's how it works:

  • Search & select the runner's name
  • Submit a message of support
  • The message will be displayed on digital boards on course as a runner approaches

GO Airport Express counters can be found in the baggage claim area of the airport. O'Hare counters are located in Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3 and outside of Terminal 5. The counter at Midway Airport is located at Door 2. Shuttles depart every 10 to 15 minutes.
