Funding Opportunities

  • HFFI Grant Program. $1.8 million available to support eligible fresh food retail in underserved areas. Application deadline is 2.14.19. 
  • Natural Capital Investment Fund has launched RESEED Recovery Fund for farmers and value-added producers affected by hurricanes Florence or Matthew. 
  • The Conservation Fund's Resourceful Communities Program is accepting applications for the Creating New Economies Fund grant. Deadline Feb. 18 
  • Farmers Advocating for Organic (FAFO) is a farmer-funded grant program; awards between $5K - $50K. Deadline March 1
  • NC Tobacco Trust Fund Commission is accepting grant applications to support agricultural communities. Deadline March 8
  • RWJ Foundation: Funding for communities and organizations addressing health and climate solutions. Letter of intent due Feb 8 and application is due April 3.

The Food Research and Action Center is collecting public comments for the federal register on the USDA proposed rule that would enforce stricter work requirements for SNAP beneficiaries. Find out more and contribute by April 2nd.
