Includes CEOP Certification. 20/10/20 This virtual training course is delivered by a CEOP-trained Ambassador and will be split into two 90 minute sessions. The first 90-minute session provides an introduction to the work of CEOP, and a presentation on how young people are using technology, outlining some of the associated risks and the preventative measures that can be undertaken. Finally the course introduces you to and entitles you to access further Thinkuknow materials. The second 90-minute session provides a guide to delivering Online Safety in the primary curriculum; approaches, resources to use and more. This webinar will allow you to be eligible for CEOP Certification which will be emailed on completion. The course covers: Introduction to CEOP Online Sexual Abuse The Thinkuknow Resources Incorporating Online Safety into the primary computing curriculum Who should attend? This course is aimed at primary teachers who wish to be accredited for their online safety knowledge. Will be of particular interest to Computing subject coordinators. Having completed the training, attendees will be able to access CEOP 'Thinkuknow' resources, which can be utilised to educate professionals in their setting, parents and carers and children and young people about the key risks emerging from young people's use of technology. Learning Outcomes By the end of this course you will: Outline how children use the internet & mobile technology. Summarise the nature of online offending against children & young people. Explain the key risks emerging from young people's current use of technology.
