You might consider writing covered calls. Edward Modla from The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) along with Fidelity’s Andrew Rakowski will cover the basics, including why people write covered calls, the risks, and how to choose a strike price and expiration that fit your needs. Session 2: Monitoring your covered call trades for the best outcome 3 p.m.–4 p.m. ET You have written a covered call—now what? Monitoring your trades is an important part of the trading process. The stock may go up, down, or not move at all. The OCC and Fidelity will talk about different scenarios and potential actions you may consider, as well as the myths and misconceptions about covered calls, to help you feel more confident in your trades. Session 3: Covered call roundtable: Answering the most common questions 4 p.m.–5 p.m. ET What do you want to know about covered call writing? For the last session of the day, we will have a moderated panel during which we will discuss the most common questions and challenges related to writing covered calls.
