New CRTC Guidance on CASL Compliance and Enforcement (log in required)
On November 5, 2018, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications (CRTC)  released Compliance and Enforcement Information Bulletin CRTC 2018-415 (Information Bulletin) setting out guidelines on the Commission's approach to compliance, penalties and facilitating the commission of an offence under section (s.) 9 of Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

We revised procedures to indicate that credit unions no longer send contaminated and/or mutilated coin to the Royal Bank Cash Services Centre. Instead, credit unions will report issues with contaminated and/or mutilated coin to Central 1.
